Privacy

We collect as little personal data as we reasonably can. The site is operated from the European Union and we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains what is collected, why, who processes it on our behalf, and how to contact us about it.

What we collect

When you load a page we record an anonymized request fingerprint (truncated IP address, user-agent, requested URL) for the sole purpose of rate-limiting abusive traffic. These records expire from our cache within minutes. We do not run our own analytics database.

We use Vercel Analytics for aggregated page-view counts. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and IP-anonymized by design — it does not track individuals across sites. There is nothing to opt out of because nothing identifies you.

Third parties we rely on

• Vercel hosts the site and serves all pages from its edge network.
• Upstash provides the Redis cache that backs our rate-limiter and our prediction results. No personal data is written there.
• Anthropic generates predictions through the Claude API. The prompts we send are anonymous race-context blobs — no visitor data is included.
• Cloudflare Turnstile (when enabled) gates the prediction-generation endpoint. It is a privacy-friendly alternative to reCAPTCHA and does not require cookies.
• OpenF1 and Jolpica-F1 serve us anonymous data requests. Your browser never talks to them directly.

Cookies

We do not set any tracking cookies. We do not have a newsletter, an account system, or a comments section, so there is nothing to remember between visits. If we ever add advertising (Google AdSense is the planned monetization path), this page will be updated and a cookie consent banner added before the first ad loads.

Your rights under GDPR

Even though we hold almost nothing about you, you retain the rights granted by GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, see the contact page.

Changes to this page

We will update the “last updated” date at the top whenever the policy changes. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least one race weekend.
